Coordination and Partnerships
Close partnerships with different partners (including different government
agencies, local bodies, donors, and I/NGOs) is the key aspect of the
programme planning, management and implementation of WTLCP. It works
through existing institutions at the central, regional, and local levels to
strengthen capacities and build up their mechanisms for intersectoral
coordination and sustainable use of biodiversity.
The partners are:
1. Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation (MFSC)
2. United Nations Development Program (UNDP)
3. Global Environment Facility (GEF)
4. Netherlands Development Organization (SNV) Nepal
5. WWF Nepal
6. International Plant Genetic Resources Institute (IPGRI)
7. Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC)
8. Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD)
