The project covers total area of 3,466
sq km in Bardia, Kailali and Kanchanpur
districts. Half of the area falls in Bardia
National Park, Shuklaphanta Wildlife
Reserve and their buffer zones and the
other half in the adjoining productive
landscapes. Forests and agriculture/
grasslands comprise 60% and 32% of
the total land area respectively. The
project covers total of 52 VDCs in the
